APR 2025
The evenings display was put on by Bryan. He had a wide selection of codds, gingers and hamiltons from the very well known company of Allen & Lloyd, passing through the years when it was Allen to Allen and Lloyd. Bryan has a lot of knowledge regarding the growth of the company through the names.

David brought along the half barrel stoneware desk ink which he bought at the Alton bottle show. His impressed ALDERSHOT ARMY & NAVY GB was part of a job lot of GB's he bought.

Greg brought the ACME inhaler, which he bought on Ebay at a very modest price - in excellent condition and the green top GB from Kings Cross, London.
The 3 GB's were brought along by Guy. They are all from the Isle of Wight and are all pretty rare, the 3rd one being the rarest.

The MEW'S ale tin belongs to Guy and is another IOW item. These do not survive being buried but he would really like to get a screw top for it - any helpers?
Bryan is the lucky owner of the 2 Arkas Sapp's pot lids from Basingstoke. Not ones we have seen before.
The tin is a Daily Mail copper bank which has gears inside it when you put the money in. Belongs to Graham.
Dave aquired the lovely condition hamilton at a car boot. Looking at the top it has the flat sides that make it pre 1871.
The spoon with bovril printed at top was brought in by David.

The competition for the evening was for 3 Boots items. Top left was Greg with first. Second was John. Unfortunately Guy mistook the title for the competition and brought along 3 ornamental boots.

Next meeting is on May 14th and competition is for 2 coloured lip Codds
