This was the last meeting of the year with our
traditional Christmas get together. We had food, great finds table,
raffle, competition and the free to enter connoisseurs raffle. Jordan brought along a lot of finds he has made with a mechanical digger. First the Greybeard and the group of poisons including the Star poison. Then the Confection of Senna pot and target ball. Unbelievable how a target ball survives underground. Then the 3 lovely inks. On the next row 3 rare J WHITE GUILDFORD cream pots, two with blue tops and one with blue print. A Foulstons Crescent poison and an OXINE extract of beef pot. The clay pipe looks like a Lord Kitchener one. On next row we have a blue H JEFFRIES GUILDFORD and a lovely embossed horse and chariot bottle, which contained polish. Finally 2 rare local match strikers. First from Allen and Lloyd, Aldershot and Salisbury. The second TOM PICKEN'S hardware stores, North Street, Guildford. The 2 lids THE SCURF POMADE prepared by Gustav Boehm and SCURF POMADE by Avillia, London. The 2 syphons belonged to David. PINKS & SONS CHICHESTER with carnation picture and the F CHITTY CHICHESTER with a castle picture. Mick brought along his recent aquisition a COURAGE'S ALES & STOUT ash tray. |
