| Start of the new year and
we held our AGM. Mick has been chairman since 1979 and now Bryan Harris
will be taking over running the club as chairman. Mick will continue as
treasurer for a while. We have no intentions of winding the club up as
it is very popular and our shows are very popular and are the best in
the south of the UK. The finds table tonight was very lean and all the objects on ta wble belonged to Greg. The 6 oz codd patent 4 is ICEBERG & SON, BRADFIELD. The measure, which is 1/4 Gill and 1/2 Gill sizes,The large clear has name H & G Simmonds on side. The large clear London bottle is a fancy bulk ink with Reg number on base. Thomas de la Rue. The Horners patent is a very scarce bottle with original top from H R King Odiham. The unusual green bottle is a steraliser for toothbrushes - quite a rare item. In the competition for the evening which was for a Hampshire potlid 1st - Johnny 2nd - Bryan 3rd - Mick Last years competition totals were won by Mick with David coming second, so Mick gets free subs for the year. |
