This was our Fish and
Chips evening. A good turn out of members with their free meal. Gill
provided some scones topped with strawberry jam, cream and half a
strawberry on top. On the finds table was this tin sign picked up at a car boot for £8. Although a later repro type, still an interesting item David brought along a pictorial flagon which came from the Sussex club. J ROYDANT & Co, 75 ACRE LANE, LONDON. The picture on front looks like a draped curtain. David also brought along the local flagon which he purchased at the Minstead show. T CROOK, GROCER & BRITISH WINE MANUFACTURER, WINCHESTER. Dates around 1890. Dave brought along the WM MAYALL & CO MANUFACTURERS OF INKS & ADHESIVES, MANCHESTER 3 stoneware pot. Obviously for containing glue and dates around 1930. Bought at a car boot. |

Mick brought along this pictorial jam jar. In brilliant condition with 2
ducks on front. STEPHENS JAMS. On base it reads 60 RYLANDS BARNSLEY. Jordon brought along the 2 BUTLER DORKING minerals. Graeme is the proud owner of the old 1st World War oil lamp. |
