The Alton Bottle Collector's Club was founded in 1979. Meetings
are held on the second Weds from September to June, at the
Community Centre, Alton, Hants, England. GU341HN.
Members share the common interest of collecting old bottles,
many having been dug out of long forgotten rubbish tips. Finding
really productive tips these days is not easy, especially here
in Southern England. However members still manage to bring along
a few items for the Finds table at the monthly meetings.
Membership rates are kept very low at £5 per person per year
The evenings agenda consists of the occasional speaker, auctions
or just informal chitchat. A display competition is held each
month with the winner being presented with a bottle of wine.
We also hold two bottle fayres per year. These are usually held
on the third Sunday of March and November. They are always very
